The instructional methods employed by Graywood Academy include a variety and combination of lectures; hands on demonstrations and workshops; practical working experience in simulated on the job dog grooming situations; powerpoint enhanced explanations of techniques; theoretical, well organized study materials that will teach you the theory applied in the practical labs; group and individual evaluations and projects. A high tech classroom enhances the students' ability to comprehend and apply methods and structures of the art of dog grooming. Students receive a tool kit comprised of only the best, hand selected equipment. Students attend hands on labs and seminars conducted by the most highly respected, award winning individuals in the industry. A library of learning materials includes, books, DVDs, videos, magazines, specialized articles and other seminar materials related to dog grooming. Student field trips are organized on a regular basis. The Academy is famous for its clean, safe facility, highly developed program and prides itself on the quality of the facility. It is the objective of Graywood Academy to fully prepare you for a rich career in the Pet Styling & Dog Grooming industry. You will graduate with experience and appreciation for proper preparation of pets for the styling process. Correct bathing and drying procedures, including composition and selection of topical products to best enhace your clients skin and coat. The mechanics of Pet Styling & Dog grooming will be covered and you will build a solid foundation for developing your technical skills and artistic eye. You will be fully prepared for advanced courses in any area of Pet Styling & Dog Grooming. Upon graduation and receipt of your diploma, every student will be prepared for employment as an entry level Pet Stylist & Dog Groomer with a solid working knowledge of pre-styling pet preparation and entry level styling skills. Students will have a solid foundation in the industry and be well prepared to sit for their ISCC Certification testing and well on their way to completing the first steps in becoming a Master Pet Stylist. Graywood is proud to be a leader in the Industry and is one of only two schools that have been Certified as an ISCC Approved Pet Styling School. Graywood Academy is the only school in the world with two ISCC Master Pet Stylist Meritus on their teaching staff. ISCC is the premier nationally recognized Pet Styling Certification and Continuing Education Program.
